Navy League of the U. S. — St. Croix Council Disbands

The St. Croix Council of the Navy League of the United States will be disbanded on June 30. At a luncheon meeting on March 10, members of the council agreed almost unanimously that there was no longer sufficient desire to continue the activities of the council. At a meeting of the executive board on April 2, it was voted to take action to disband the council, and at a subsequent meeting of the board, that vote was reaffirmed.
Therefore, after almost 50 years of “citizens in support of the sea services” on St. Croix, notice is hereby given that the St. Croix Council of the Navy League of the U. S. will be disbanded on June 30.
