Carl Gotts Earns Health Underwriters Certification

Carl Gotts of Gotts Insurance Associates, St. Croix, has earned his professional certification from the National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU) on the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA), commonly known as Health Care Reform. Developed by experts in both PPACA and employment law, the high-level, ten-hour course taught understanding of the key technical components of PPACA and offered an extensive overview of all regulations already issued, along with details on specific regulations issued to date regarding small business tax credits, individual mandates, health insurance exchanges, pre-existing conditions, impact on health savings accounts and more.
NAHU describes that graduates of this intensive course have learned what small businesses need to do to comply with the new Health Care Reform law, as well as how the market is likely to change over the next few years. The agent is better able to develop client specific timelines and provide advice to guide clients in planning for future requirements.
