Beach Day Fundraiser for Animal Protection Organizations

On Sunday, June 24, from noon to 5 p.m., the public is invited to join “Give Tanks” for a beach day fundraiser at Iggies, Bolongo Bay Beach Resort.
Mikael Doumeng, Kappes Chatfield and Mark Anspach are college students who want to change the world. They created Give Tanks, a socially conscious tank top company, which strives to cultivate global hope by reminding everyone to be “tankful" for the little things in life. It is a positive social movement with a philanthropic mission. Each tank top design symbolizes something for which we “give tanks.”
The designs are simple, much like the message they are trying to share, with
25 percent of all profits going to support Give Tanks charitable projects. The first Give Tanks mission is in Ciudad Sandino, Nicaragua. There they will be volunteering this summer with the profits going directly to buy school supplies and uniforms for preschool children. The idea was inspired by their desire to share positive energy and to promote good vibes within our communities. By reflecting on the blessings that are abundant in our lives, we can all fill this world with positivity and be an inspiration for prevailing goodness.
For their second project, Give Tanks has partnered with the Lucky Paws Foundation on St. Thomas, whose mission is to end the island’s animal overpopulation and homelessness by providing low cost spay/neuter services to community cats’ caretakers and pet owners in need. Also benefiting will be the Humane Society of St. Thomas, which provides animal welfare services to the community. So, on June 24, from noon to 5 p.m., come share some humane movement vibes at the beach day fundraiser at Iggies at Bolongo Bay Beach Resort. Bring your pooch. Cool out. Have fun. Give Tanks for living in paradise.
The white Give Tanks sell for $20. There will be food, drinks, raffle prizes and live entertainment with Jon Gazi of West Lindy. One hundred percent of all proceeds from the special edition Cat/Dog Give Tanks design tanks will go towards spaying and neutering the island’s pets.
