In an effort to reduce the footprint in the Virgin Islands landfills, the Re-Use Emporium will open May 18. The Emporium will offer an ever changing inventory of gently used, discontinued or new home improvement products including, but not limited to, furniture, plumbing/electrical supplies, fixtures, tools, hardware, doors, flooring and home accents. Items are both consigned for profit or donated for proceeds to be given on behalf of a favorite charity.
Located at Bulk Storage in Bovoni the Re-Use Emporium is operated by two women who recognized the need of finding an option of offering the community a way to liquidate items they no longer need. Designers Genie Lupo and Julie Najawicz have extensive experience in retail, hospitality and residential design. They have a passion of redesigning items that might otherwise end up in the landfill and have fun teaching others to do the same. In addition to design services, professional organizing and home/commercial liquidation will be available.
