Raquel Falero Sanes Dead at 61

Raquel Falero Sanes of Anna’s Retreat died on March 30 at the age of 61 on St. Thomas.
She is survived by her mother, Isidra Falero; husband, Armando “Nando” Sanes Sr.; sons: Ricaldo Sanes (deceased), Armando “Tito” Sanes (deceased), and Jose “Julio” Antonio; daughters: Wanda Sanes, Marie Paul and Maribel Okiye; sisters: Alba Serrano and Margarita Falero; uncle: Juan Ramon; grandchildren: Duane Woods, Rajesh Maharaj, Mardiyanic Maharaj, Chardonnay Maharaj, Sheyi Celaire, Tosin Aborisade, Porsa Okiye, Tito Okiye and Maribel Okiye. nieces: Ruth “Poochie” Liburd, Tasha Hodge, Tange Hodge and Tanisha Hodge; nephews: Mario Hodge, Jr., Rudel Hodge, Antonio Serrano, Jr. and Jaime Serrano; and daughter-in-law, Pamela Sanes.
She is also survived by special cousins: Antonio and Miriam Santana, Paula, Anna Osorio and family, Cookie Serrano and family, Carmelita Falero and family, Landie Calderon and Milagros Calderon; sisters-in-law: Luz Maria Acosta and family, Carmencita Acosta and family, Juanita Acosta and family, Awilda Sanes and family, Juanita Encarnacion and family, and Nereida Sanes and family; brothers-in-law: Antonio Serrano Sr., Esteban DeJesus and family, Wilfredo Melendez and family, William Camacho and family and Americo Correa’; special friends: Helyis Walters, Sarah George, Joan Francis, Shelley Thomas, Amy Adams, Gladie Cintron, Nilda Ortiz, Jigwe Carrillo, Pillar Carrillo and family, Jose Ortiz and family, Carol and Valentine, Dottin and Carrillo family, Dorothy Daniel and family, Dr. Okiye and family, Dr. Hunt, and the medical staff and hemodialysis unit; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a first viewing held from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, April 13. A second viewing will be held at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 14, at Asamblea Cristiana Oasis. The pastor will be Richard Callwood.
The family requests attendees wear vibrant colors.
