Catherine J. Caines died on March 12.
She is survived by her sons: Tyrell Trey Caines and Lashaun E.J. Burgin; daughters: Irma Anetha Burgin and Katherine Thelma Burgin; grandchildren: Rea’Shaun A.A. Burgin and Jah’Rima Thelma Burgin; sister, Sandra Mills; brothers: Herbert Caines and Eldred Caines; close friends: Isaac Burgin, Mary Buchanan, Doreen Buchanan, Louis White, Jennifer Longe and many more; cousins: Adonica Chapman, Schackwlyn "Agatha" Barnes, Arabella Peets and many more; niece, Tasha Mills; and adopted daughter-in-law, Quanisha Hendrickson.
There will be a first viewing held from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, March 29, at Turnbull’s Funeral Home. A second viewing will be held at 11 a.m. followed by a funeral service at noon on Friday, March 30, at Turnbull’s Funeral Home. Interment will be at Eastern Cemetery, Smith Bay.
