V.I. Supervisor of Elections John Abramson on Tuesday validated enough signatures to schedule recall elections against four of the six challenged members of the St. Croix district Board of Elections.
Facing recall votes sometime in the next two months will be board members Ana Davila, Carmen Golden, Lisa Harris-Moorhead and Dodson James. The petitioners fell short in their bid to unseat Board Chairman Rupert Ross and Raymond Williams.
On the advice of the Attorney General’s Office, Abramson used the petitioner’s methodology for determining the number of signatures required, even though he said he disagreed.
