Virgin Islands property owners are advised that penalties and interest will be charged on the 2008 property tax bills beginning Jan. 20, according to a press release issued Thursday by the Office of the Lieutenant Governor. The 2008 property tax bills were issued in July 2011 and became delinquent on Oct. 20.
After the Jan. 20th date, penalty and interest charges will be assessed.
