Praxis I and II Prep Courses Offered to Teachers

The University of the Virgin Islands – Community Engagement and Lifelong Learning (UVICELL) Center in collaboration with the V.I. Department of Education, Division of Human Resources announces that registration is open for the second session of fall semester for its Praxis I and II prep course. The program prepares public school teachers for the Praxis I and II Exams so that they can be designated as highly qualified in order to meet the mandates of the No Child Left Behind Act.
The six-week course will be held 9 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. every Saturday beginning Oct. 29, on the St. Thomas campus. On St. Croix, classes will be held 4:30 – 6:30 p.m. weekdays beginning Oct. 31, at the St. Croix Educational Complex.
This course is free to public school teachers and is being funded by the V.I. Department of Education. To register for the free program, teachers must be employed by the Department of Education and provide verification of employment upon registering.
