The Virgin Islands Pace Runners Annual CoastWeeks Beach Relay is scheduled for 7 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 1, at Ha Penny Beach, St. Croix. The relay run is for teams of two runners; each runner runs one mile up the beach and one mile back. Teams can be male, female, mixed male and female and of any age.
There is no entry fee. Certificates will be presented to all participants. The Beach Relay organized by V.I. Pace Runners is in cooperation with the annual International Coastal Cleanup week organized by the Ocean Conservancy.
