The Government Insurance Fund reminds all employers in the private and public sectors of the June 30 deadline for making the final installment payment on their Worker’s Compensation insurance premium.
All employers in the territory are reminded that it is against the law, (V.I. Code, Title24 §273) to operate without having secured Workers’ Compensation Insurance to protect employees in the event of injury through the Government Insurance Fund.
If a person’s business or organization has not yet filed, it is not too late to get coverage. Simply call the Government Insurance Fund at the following telephone numbers: St. Thomas/St. John 774-4750 and St. Croix 773-1105.
