Everyday Clay Studio Has Opening Reception for ‘Installation Art’

Everyday Clay Studio presents Installation Art, which describes an artistic genre of site-specific, three-dimensional works designed to transform a viewer’s perception of a space — generally an interior space. In keeping true to her mission, owner and curator of the studio, Kimberly Young, has taken a theme, Installation Art, and again recreated gallery space. The viewer is expected to be at once immersed in the sensory or narrative experience that surrounds him and to maintain a degree of self-identity as a viewer.
In this one-woman show, she has created several powerful ceramic and mixed media installations. “I feel that I have taken all of the anxious emotions and nervous energy inside of me and purged it, all over the walls,” Young said.
Please join Everyday Clay Studio in Tillett Gardens from 5-9 p.m. on Saturday, April 23, for the opening reception.
