John Garfield, 86, passed away on March 4 at his home on St. Thomas. He is survived by his wife, Ursula; children: Robin, Jonathan and Alison; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters: Betty Ann and June; and his ex-wife, June Ann.
He was an architect, primarily in the Virgin Islands, designing many houses and some commercial buildings. He was an avid sailor as well and a longtime member of the St. Thomas Yacht Club.
A celebration of his life will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 10, at the St. Thomas Yacht Club, Cowpet Bay.
