Pistarckle Theater will hold its second round of auditions for the rock and roll Musical “Hair!” from 2-3 p.m. on Sunday Feb. 13, at the theater located in Tillet Gardens.
As a social commentary of our times, the musical provides an insight into the philosophy of the flower children of the 1960s.The cast consists of The Tribe, a group of long-haired hippies (but don’t worry if you have short hair, wigs are available) led by Berger, who helps Claude, a recent draftee, through his last days of freedom before being indoctrinated into the army.
“Hair!” Is a celebration of life and love, and performers need to be exuberant, energetic and playful. A large multiethnic and multiracial cast is needed. All ages considered from teenagers to adults. All performers need to sing and move well, with some dance. Please bring a prepared song (preferably with song sheet) to audition and be prepared to dance.
