Saturated Patrols Nab Gun, Drugs Over Halloween Weekend

Police vehicle and foot patrols on St. Croix made at least three arrests, confiscated one deadly firearm and seized drugs during the Halloween weekend.
At about 9 p.m. Friday, foot patrol officers on the Christiansted boardwalk saw a man who appeared to be selling a white powdered substance to a female. The five grams of the substance was later tested to be cocaine. Police arrested 46-year-old Gregory Galloway of Estate Clifton Hill and charged him with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute. During the booking process the police learned that Galloway is also wanted for first-degree robbery in New York State. Galloway was arrested, held on a $10,000 bail and remanded to custody. He is awaiting extradition to New York to face those charges.
At about 11 p.m. Saturday, officers arrested Myron Fox, 29, and charged him with possession of an unlicensed firearm. Deputy Chief Christopher Howell and another officer reported they were on foot patrol in Christiansted when they saw Fox move quickly into a dark area on Company Street. The officers shined a flashlight on Fox and observed that he had a firearm in his hand and his finger was on the trigger. Officers grabbed Fox and confiscated the weapon. He was held on a $25,000 bail and taken into custody.
Deputy Chief Howell said Fox was recently released from the Golden Grove Adult Correctional Facility, where he was serving time on a shooting charge. Fox is currently on probation.
And at about 4:25 a.m. Sunday, Lidenny Florentino was arrested and charged with third-degree assault/domestic violence. Citizens called police and reported a disturbance in the area of the Estate Richmond by the beach. When police arrived, they saw an injured man in his mid-20s walking in the area. Investigation revealed that he had been assaulted by Florentino, who left the area in the victim’s vehicle. Police located the vehicle in the Harbor View Apartments, and the suspect attempted to flee from police in it. She was apprehended and held without bail.
