Maud Joseph Dies at 80

Maud Joseph
Maud Joseph, also known as "Bee” or “Mother,” of Profit Hill died on Oct. 18, at her residence. She was 80 years old.
She is survived by her daughters: Rosemarie Carty, Althea Pelle-Phillip and Alecia Patricia Woodley; son, Niqell Pelle; grandchildren: Karen, Osmond Elmond Carty Jr., Erastie, Ahejah and Afiyah Phillips, and Kimani Pelle; great-grandchildren: Aleka, Shamoi, Deshawn, Lauren, Gemuel and Makella; and sisters: Octavia Baptist, Enid Simon, Hermena Michelle, Rhoda Joseph and Qivennie Merchant. She is also survived by sons-in-law: Elmond Carty Sr., Wajaka Phillip and Winston Appleton; nieces: Claudette, Cheryl, Jenifer, Ruth, Voncille, Veronica, Sonia, I’cilda and Dulsie; nephews: Denfield, Emil, Boysworth, Roger, Tyrone, Steve, Stedie, Wenford, John and Ervin; cousins and other relatives: Maurice Tittle and family, Gerrie Parson, Henry, Fish, John, Thomas, Grithley and Marilyn; special friends: Alita Theaphilus and family, Almeda Jarvis, Maxima Brabell, Hyacinth George, Glenice Marsh and Jasmine Ramos; as well as other relative and friends too numerous to mention.
A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, Nov. 10, at St. Luke Episcopal Church in Antigua, West Indies. Interment will follow at St. John’s Cemetery in Antigua, West Indies.
