The Rotary Club of St. Thomas II will begin its three-phase “Gift of Words” project. Phase one will take place at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 27, the Rotary Club of St. Thomas II will give a dictionary to all third grade students at the Lockhart Elementary School. Phases two and three, which will follow at later dates, will include the gift of a Thesaurus to all eighth graders at Addelita Cancryn Junior High School, and a Webster’s Vocabulary Builder for all ninth grade students at the Ivanna Eudora Kean High School.
At the regular 12:15 p.m. meeting of the organization on Wednesday, Oct. 27, at Marriott’s Frenchman’s Reef, it will make a special donation for improvements at Bethlehem House to Michael Akin, executive director of Catholic Charities.
