V.I. Housing Authority Offers Free Adult Literacy Programs

The Virgin Islands Housing Authority is offering free adult literacy programs for public housing residents funded by the Virgin Islands Department of Education and conducted in the following communities:
St. Thomas
· Oswald Harris Court
· Estate Tutu Hi-Rise
St. Croix
· Aureo Diaz Heights
· John F. Kennedy
· Marley Homes and Additions
· Williams Delight
The classes will be held four days per week, Mondays through Thursdays, starting either at 5:30 p.m. or 6 p.m. depending on the particular site. Registrations for the new program cycle are being accepted through Nov. 5.
Registration forms are located at each community’s management office or at the VIHA Central Office located in Estate Anna’s Retreat on St. Thomas or at Aureo Diaz Heights on St. Croix. To register, a completed registration form must be submitted to the management office of the community where the participant would like to attend the program or to VIHA’s Central Office to the attention of the Department of Public Relations/Resident Services.
