James Owen Callwood Dead at 77

James Owen Callwood

James Owen Callwood of Hannah’s Rest died on Oct. 17. He was 77 years old.

He is survived by his daughters: Lorel Callwood and Levelle Callwood-Christian; stepdaughters: Laverne Hodge and Deborah Krause; sons: Eugene Callwood and Meredith Callwood; stepson, Lindsay Wyatt; grandchildren: Lyndoneisha Walters, La-Nya Callwood, Shaneika Davis, Amaya Christian, Nikita and Keena Callwood, Rhea and Latisha Krause, Trisha Denis, Joseph III and Kareem Hodge; daughter-in-law, Bertha Ellenton; son-in-law, Elroy Christian; and sisters: Ivy Mae Parsons and Ethlyn Freeman.
He is also survived by nieces: Renardo, Justin Austin, Lionel and Leslie Parsons, Luther Green, Alcedos Freeman Jr., Alnando Freeman, Gerry Freeman, Floyd Turnbull, Irvin Todman, Leroy Scatliffe, Leando Scatliffe and Jerome Christopher; nieces: Winifred Callwood, lecia Parsons, Lorna Parsons, Laverne Donadelle, Elna Freeman, Una Freeman Sutton, Mona Freeman, Marianna Freeman, Deanne Turbull Minus, Ianta Martin, Joyce Leonard, Janet Todman, Maureen Smith, Janice Christopher and Lucinda Christopher; uncle, Edwardo George; special friends: Patrick Delgado and Luz Rivero; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
A viewing will be held at 10 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 29, at the James Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Kingshill Cemetery.
