Philippe Haddad Appointed Director of Food and Beverage at Ritz-Carlton

Philippe Haddad has been appointed director of food and beverage at The Ritz-Carlton, St. Thomas, where he will oversee all dining venues, room service, catering and culinary events, as well as enhance the resort’s culinary offerings.
“We are delighted to welcome Philippe and look forward to having him share his impressive talent and enthusiasm. We are confident his culinary expertise and creativity will be an extraordinary addition to our hotel’s dining experience,” said Marc Langevin, general manager.

As a seasoned culinary professional, Haddad brings over 30 years of experience to the resort. Recognized internationally for his accomplishments, Haddad’s extensive list of accolades includes receiving the coveted James Beard Award, orchestrating two U.S. Presidential dinners in Atlanta for former President Bill Clinton, and being recognized by Ferdinand Metz as an outstanding chef.
Haddad moved to the United States in 1983, where he worked for the Club Corporation of America and then served as executive chef to Atlanta’s celebrated French-Russian restaurant Nikolai’s Roof. Following several culinary positions, he opened his namesake restaurant, Philippe’s Bistro, in 2005, which garnered numerous accolades, including the Golden Vine Award and the Five-Star Diamond Award. Haddad joined The Country Club of the South as the executive chef before joining The Ritz-Carlton on St. Thomas.
“I am delighted to be in St. Thomas at a resort renowned for delivering the highest level of service on the island,” said Haddad. “I very much look forward to continuing the success of this beautiful property and look forward to working with all of its exceptional ladies and gentlemen.”
