Man Charged with Stealing Hundreds in Booze

St. Thomas police arrested George Covington, 47, of Estate Tutu High-rise housing community and charged him with grand larceny.
Covington was arrested at about 3 p.m. Sunday.
Police said Covington admitted stealing almost $400 in alcoholic beverages from the Gourmet Gallery in Havensight Mall.
Bail for Covington was set at $35,000 and he was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending further court action.
