Vanita Viola Martinez, also known as Juanita Richards of Adventure Hill died at Gov. Juan F. Luis Hospital on June 25. She was 76 years old.
She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Martinez; grandchildren: Kiana and Ashley Ferdinand; sisters: Daphane Harvey, Claudina Barnard, Maudelin Sackey, Eugenie Hansen and Ernestine Brooks; brothers: George and Theodore Richards; nieces: Pauline Williams, Loleta Wynter, Ruth George, Brenda Brookes, Joycelyn Joseph and Lavern Richards; nephews: Edward Richards, Elvis Harvey, Collin Brookes, Samuel Andrew, Patrick Skeeple and Devon Richards; and many other nieces and nephews. She is also survived by great nieces: Malicia George, Alicia Luke, Amity Legair, Anika Harvey and Naya Samuel; great nephews: Brandon Brookes, Cordell Williams, Marcellus Brookes and Akeem George; cousins and other relatives: Edris Symister and Walter Roberts; special friends: Jackie and Carolie Heyliger, Paulina Brache and Dawn Matthias; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
A viewing will begin at 10 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 13, at Islands Baptist Church. Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery.
