Two suspects were arrested Friday in an early morning raid at the Lorraine Village Apartments and charged in connection with a Nov. 14 shooting incident, according a news release by the V.I. Police Department.
Members of the Criminal Investigation Bureau executed search warrants at 6 a.m. and arrested two suspects, 31-year-old Jimmy Davis and 26-year-old Lorna Jack.
Police confiscated a .22 caliber automatic pistol from the residence. According to police records, neither suspect has a valid gun license.
Charges included possession of an unlicensed firearm, reckless endangerment and assault in the first degree.
Police said Davis and Jack aided and abetted each other on Nov. 14 in the vicinity of the Lower Love Gas Station, where shots were fired toward a male victim and hit his truck. Davis was positively identified as the shooter; Jack was identified as a person who accompanied Davis when the shots were fired.
Davis has at least one previous conviction for reckless endangerment, according to police records. Jack has previous arrests for assault.
Both suspects were held on $125,000 bail and remanded to the Golden Grove Adult Correctional Facility pending further court action.
