Orande Francis, 26, of Estate Anna’s Retreat, became the territory’s 52nd homicide victim of the year Saturday when he died of a gunshot wound at the Roy L. Schneider Regional Hospital.
Police were informed at 9:20 p.m. Saturday that a male gun shot victim had been dropped off at the hospital. Francis was shot once in his upper abdomen and died from his injuries, according to the police.
The victim was dropped off at the hospital by one or more family members who did not remain at the hospital to give a statement. However, the victim’s immediate family members arrived at the hospital and told police they heard a gun shot outside a private residence in Estate Tutu.
No further information was immediately available from Major Crime detectives who are following up all leads in this homicide.
