'Most Wanted' Suspect Surrenders to Police

Jamal JacobsPolice on St. Thomas removed Jamal Jacobs from the VI Most Wanted list Wednesday after he turned himself in and was arrested at 4:17 p.m.
Jacobs had been placed on the list Friday after an incident that occurred that day near the Classico Bar near Market Square. According to the police, Jacobs was involved in an incident in which several shots were fired. One of those shots struck a victim in the arm, according to the police.
Jacobs was charged with first degree assault, possession of a dangerous weapon during the commission of a crime of violence, and possession of an unlicensed firearm.
Jacobs bail was set at $110,000 and he was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending his advice of rights hearing.
