St. Croix Animal Welfare Center invites the public to their 2009 Pledge Party from 6-9 p.m., on Saturday, Oct. 10, at The Buccaneer’s Mermaid Restaurant. The evening will include complimentary wines from Italian VI Trading Inc., an Italian buffet, live music and dancing under the stars. The cost is $100 per person and all proceeds will benefit the Animal Welfare Center. Dress is island casual.
Every day it costs the center over $1,800 to provide for the animals in their care. That is $200 per hour in a nine-hour day. It includes everything – salaries, medicine, insurance, electricity, water, food and litter, and the list goes on. Please consider supporting the AWC for a day or a part of one of their Every days.
