V.I. 'Most Wanted' Taken Into Custody

Detective of the Investigation Bureau on St. Croix arrested Emmanuel Nesbitt, one of the Virgin Island’s "Most Wanted," at about 3:15 p.m. Friday.
Nesbitt was placed on the most-wanted list Aug. 21 after an incident that happened in the afternoon hours of July 25, 2007 in the vicinity of the Nazarene Church in Estate Williams Delight. Police said Nesbitt walked up to a male victim who was sitting in a vehicle and shot him, striking the victim in his arm. The wound caused the victim to lose his arm.
When Emmanuel was placed the most-wanted list a family member contacted police as to his whereabouts. Nesbitt was not arrested immediately because of ongoing medical issues.
Nesbitt was charged with possession of a dangerous weapon during the commission of a crime, mayhem, possession of ammunition, and reckless endangerment.
