Police on St. Croix named Emmanuel Nesbitt Friday as one of the territory’s most wanted persons. An arrest warrant was issued for Nesbitt, who is charged with possession of a dangerous weapon during the commission of a crime, mayhem, possession of ammunition, and reckless endangerment.
The charges stem from an incident on July 25, 2007, near the Nazarene Church in Estate Williams Delight. Police said Nesbitt walked up to a man sitting in a vehicle and shot him, striking the victim in his arm. The wound caused the victim to lose his arm.
Nesbitt is 23 years old and was born on St. Croix. He is about 6 feet 5 inches tall and 180 pounds. He has a dark brown complexion, black hair and brown eyes.
