Entrance Police Officer Exam Rescheduled, Prep Course Offered

The entrance police officer exam has been rescheduled for the week of Sep. 21-25 in order to accommodate a prep course that will be offered to qualified candidates, according to a press release from Director of Personnel Kenneth L. Hermon Jr.
As an interagency collaborative effort, the UVICELL Center is offering a prep course from Aug. 17 through Sept. 18, geared toward helping prospective candidates to prepare for the exam. The 34-hour course will offer a strong concentration in math and is designed to improve the candidates’ test-taking and problem solving skills. It is underwritten by the V.I. Department of Labor.
Candidates who sat the examination within the last two years and did not achieve a passing score are urged to take advantage of this course since the Division of Personnel has transitioned to a new testing instrument. To register:
Candidate must be qualified by the Division of Personnel to sit the examination.
Register for the fast track course at UVICELL. To process, the candidate must complete the V.I. Career Network Registration form, the Verification of Employment form and the V.I. Career Network Checklist, which provides a list of required documents.
Complete the required forms listed above and return them to the DOL to receive a payment voucher, and return the payment voucher to UVICELL.
