Coast Guard Offers Boating Skills Course

The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary is offering a course on “Boating Skills and Seamanship.” Learn about boat equipment, boat handling, rules of the road, aids to navigation and propulsion systems. The course is approved by the U.S. Coast Guard, NASBLA and DPNR, and will be taught every Thursday, starting July 30. It will run for about 6 weeks at a private home.
Please call for directions if interested. Students will receive a certificate of completion after passing the course test. Complete the course and qualify for most boat insurance discounts. It will be taught by volunteers of the Coast Guard Auxiliary; there is a charge for materials.
