Shooting Leaves One Man Dead

A shooting in Estate Frydenhoj Wednesday night left one 23-year-old St. Thomas man dead.
Few details were known about the incident late Wednesday.
A call about a shooting came into 911 around 8:04 p.m. Wednesday. Police and emergency medical technicians were on the scene a few minutes later, but little information was released Wednesday. A press release sent while police were at the scene said the shooting occurred near the victim’s home.
Forensic officers and crime scene technicians were processing the scene, while Major Crimes and Criminal Investigation Bureau detectives were canvassing and interviewing possible witnesses, according to the press release.
Police are urging anyone with information about the shooting to call the Major Crime Bureau at 715-5522, 715-5514 or the Police chief’s office at 715-5548. Residents can also call Crime Stoppers USVI at 1-800-222-TIPS or emergency 911.
