St. Thomas Police Investigate Homicide

June 24, 2009 — A shooting early Wednesday left one man wounded and another dead on St. Thomas, according to the V.I. Police Department.
At about 3 a.m. Wednesday police responded to a 911 call of a shooting victim on Kronprindsens Gade near Club 75. At the scene police saw an injured male in the street adjacent to the nightclub and another male unresponsive in nearby Spence Alley.
The wounded victim was transported to the Roy Lester Schneider Regional Medical Center for treatment. The second victim was pronounced dead by medical personnel.
The Criminal Investigation Bureau and the Major Crime Bureau are following up on this case. Detectives from these units, including Forensics and other law enforcement officers, responded, interviewed witnesses and processed the scene.
