Raymond E. Parris Dies at 46

June 14, 2009 – Raymond E. Parris, also known as "Racumba" and "Rocky," of No. 32 Mahogany Welcome died on June 5.
He is survived by his mother, Thyra Thompson-Timothy; father: Elias Parris; stepfather, Dinzey Francis; stepmother, Miriam Parris; adopted mother, Maude King; daughter, Shackirah Parris; and son, Iam Parris. He is also survived by brothers: Roland, Ricky, Rodney and Steve Parris; sisters: Winifred Timothy, Sherryanne Timothy-Simon and Raquel Parris-Francis; uncles: Christian Maynel Sr., James Thompson and John Parris Sr.; aunt, Eleanor Thompson. Other survivors include godparents: Cyprian Gardine, Gladys Miller, Gladys Stevens and Edward Mc Bean; special cousins: Jennifer, Elroy, Earl and Juanita Roebuck, Maynel Jr., Arlene, Alexis, Howard and Herman Jr. Thompson, and Diane Cornelius; special friends: Ethel Joseph, Jaslyn Durant, Julianna Henry; and many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
A viewing will be held at 10 a.m. and a funeral service at 11 a.m., Monday, June 22, at St. John’s Episcopal Church. Interment will follow at Kingshill Cemetery.
