Brief: Event Offers Homebuyer Education

June 4, 2009 — An open house on homebuyer education will be presented from noon to 6 p.m. Friday at the Fritz Lawaetz Complex in Frederiksted.
The event is sponsored by the Virgin Islands Housing Finance Authority in celebration of Housing Month.
Information will be distributed on homebuying as well as the availability of new homes and lots for sale through the agency. Interested people also will be able to get a credit report for a fee and receive a free credit review. There will be raffles, music, refreshments and an opportunity to speak with homeownership professionals.
The authority is celebrating 25 years of “building hope, dreams and homes.” Friday's event is one in a series planned to celebrate the agency's quarter century.
