Getting the Mail Directly

Dear Source:
The dispute between the FAA and Four Star is another reason why St. Thomas mail should be flown directly from the states for sorting here. I certainly hope the five-year contract with Four Star is not stopping the postal service from moving to direct flights from the mainland to St. Thomas. My experience with government service contracts is that they can be terminated at any time the government desires or simply not be used until the contract expires by its own terms. Delays have been intolerable and the postal service has determined that the delays are caused in San Juan. Now we all have to wonder what mail did not reach us because of being burned in one of the Four Star planes. Enough is enough.
