Human Services Applies for Continuation of Block Grant

March 18, 2009 – The Virgin Islands Department of Human Services informs the community of its intention to submit an application to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services for a continuation of the Consolidated Block Grant as authorized by the Omnibus Territories Act as amended 48 U.S.C. 1469 (a).
Copies of the grant and its intended use of funds for fiscal year 2010 under the Consolidated Grant Award will be available to the public for review and comment by March 23, at the Office of the Commissioner of DHS at Knud Hansen Complex and Golden Rock locations, and the public and university libraries on St. Thomas, St. John and St. Croix, according to a press release from Commissioner of DHS Chris E. Finch.
