St. Croix H.S. Students Urged to Apply for Byrd Scholarships

March 13, 2009 – St. Croix District Superintendent Gary Molloy reminds graduating students who have been accepted to a college or university for attendance in the fall of 2009 to submit applications for the 2009 Robert C. Byrd Scholarship. Completed applications should be submitted to the Office of the Insular Superintendent by 5 p.m., Friday, March 27, at 2133 Hospital Street, Christiansted.
Each successful applicant will receive a $1,500 scholarship. A total of five scholarships will be awarded. Byrd scholars must be a graduate of a public, private or parochial secondary school or a graduate from an Adult Education/GED program.
Applications are available from guidance counselors at the high schools, the Insular Superintendent Office at 2133 Hospital Street, and can be downloaded at doe.vi
