Jan. 6, 2008 — If you sign up by Monday, without spending a cent you can promote your business or attraction to the thousands of cruise-ship passengers and crew members who will visit St. Croix in 2009, just by sending a quick email.
In the works is a directory of local retail establishments, restaurants and attractions, put together with help from the V.I. Department of Tourism by the St. Croix Chamber of Commerce, the Christiansted Retail and Restaurant Association and Our Town Frederiksted. It will go directly into the palms of cruise-ship passengers and crew members as they arrive in Frederiksted.
To be listed in the directory, participating business must pledge to offer something tangible — discounts, two-for-one specials, complimentary gifts or other items — exclusively to cruise-ship passengers and crew members.
More than 40 cruise ships are scheduled to stop in St. Croix in 2009, delivering more than 100,000 potential customers to the island's shores. Your business or attraction has the opportunity to appeal to many of these customers by participating in this promotion.
To be listed in the 2009 Cruise Ship Passenger and Crew Shopping, Dining and Attractions Directory, cut and paste the form below into an email and send it to the St. Croix Chamber of Commerce. You can also print and fax the application to 773-8172. Monday is the deadline for returning your listing. Listings submitted after the deadline will not be included in the 2009 directory.
