Oct. 14, 2008 – The UWS Upsetters had it their way in the St. Thomas Region's Sunday evening soccer action at the UVI Grounds by defeating the undermanned Roc Masters 3-0 with a comfortable victory. The UWS squandered numerous goal-scoring opportunities yet held a 1-0 half-time lead because of a Hansen Eyl goal. The Roc Masters for their part did put up a game fight but were unable to score any goals. For the UWS, Eyl and Vivian Florent added second-half goals under a heavy downpour of rain.
Weather permitting, action will continue on Tuesday night at the Lionel Roberts Stadium. Tuesday, Oct. 14, schedule at Roberts Stadium: UWS vs. Waitikubuli at 7 p.m., and Positive Vibes vs. Laraza at 9: p.m.
