Soccer: New Vibes Trash the M.I. Roc Masters

Oct. 13, 2008 – The St. Thomas Region's league-leading New Vibes defeated the M.I. Roc Masters 8-1 in Thursday night's late soccer action at the Lionel Roberts Stadium. The New Vibes' Marlon Wilton scored his first hat trick of the season as the winners lead 2-0 at the half. The other goal scorers for the New Vibes were Eddie Butcher and Brad Antoine with two each and goalkeeper Kim Antoine, who scored a penalty kick. The Roc Master's Michael Frasier scored their consolation goal.
In the evening's earlier game, the UWS Upsetters edged the Central Link 1-0, on an early Andrew Johnson goal. The Central Link missed a penalty kick that would have tied the game.
