Animal Welfare Center Holds Doggie Wash

Aug. 29, 2008 – The St. Croix Animal Welfare Center (AWC) will have an East End Doggie Wash at The Shores at Chenay Bay. From noon to 6 p.m., on Saturday, Sept. 6, the staff and volunteers of AWC will pamper your pet. A dog wash, ear cleaning and nail trim will cost $15. Micro-chipping service is also available for an additional $25.
All proceeds benefit the homeless animals supported by AWC.
The Shores at Chenay Bay is offering dog owners a "Dogs for Dogs" special: $5 for hot dogs and chips.
"Our doggie washes are great social events for both dogs and owners," said Executive Director Dr. Stacia Boswell V.M.D. "Dogs and owners alike should join us for an afternoon of fun for a cause–one that supports the important mission and programs of AWC."
To find our more or to volunteer to help, call the center at 778-1650 or visit
