The Winds of Change

Dear Source:
I just kept shaking my head as I read the facts of the Widespread Abuse of Schneider Hospital Funds.
And we wonder why Virgin Islanders are so despondent and hopeless about how our Government is run?
Let's remember that all of these "deals" were made under former Governor Turnbull's watch.
Enough already!
I went to bed very angry.
And why wouldn't I be? I am tired of no services on St. John; no parking (this problem has been here for at least a decade now!); no progress of any kind on our roads; our schools are unacceptable; we have no Meeting facilities for our Community Meetings or any Programs to help those in need; our Youth are disillusioned with the continual lack of monies or programs; our elders are living in poverty- as the cost of Wapa and food go through the roof; and of course-the very real possibility of many of us being unable to pay the over-the top property taxes that will soon land in our mailboxes.
I woke up thinking: There's got to be a different way of looking at this!
And here it is:
Governor de Jongh made it quite clear in his State of The Territory address that there was corruption and fraud within the government and it would have to stop!
This is finally all coming up to the surface–like a bad, infested boil that needs to purge itself.
This timing is perfect as we head into the November Senatorial Legislative election.
Time to purge.
We need elected Officials who are dedicated and committed to open and transparent Government and are willing to sign documentation saying such.
We, the people, are runnin' tings now until that election. We have the power to demand their attention if they are to be elected!
Let's also remember Bill # 6905 where at the mid-night hour-under former Governor Turnbull-our then Senators of the 26th. Legislature signed a law to give themselves a hefty raise without the people's input resulting in sending many of millions of dollars to their pockets and away from our escalating public needs.
Be excited!
The winds of change are a blowin' like a level 5 Hurricane, Mon!
