March 28, 2008 – Thelma Martin Jeffers, also known as "Unita," of Work and Rest died on Sunday, March 23, at her residence. She was 74 years old.
She is survived by her spouse, Henry A. Jeffers Sr.; sons: Henry A. Jeffers Jr. and S.S.G. Leslie Barry Shears; grandchildren: Jelema J. Jeffers, Henry A. Jeffers III, Henry A. Jeffers IV, Yuanjia R.B. Shears and Samantha M. Ryan. She is also survived by sister: Laurencia Richardson; brothers: Elbert, Cyril and Ohanio Martin; close friends: Esther Davis, Helen Stanley, Lila Linquist; and many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
A viewing will be held from 10-11 a.m., on Friday, April 4, at St. John's Anglican Church, to be followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m., at the church. Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery.
