Kwanzaa Liberation Affair Planned

Dec. 12, 2007 – Seven Seals Promotion and Treasures Of Zion will present a "Liberation Affair" during Kwanzaa on Nia, which is the Day of Purpose. The celebration will take place from 3-11 p.m., on Sunday, Dec. 30, at Tillett Gardens and will be hosted by Afreekan Southwell. The entry fee is $5; children under 10 years are free. After 8 p.m., the fee is $15.
Virgin Islands reggae artists Batch, Junior P and Reggae Group from Scratch will perform. V.I. Reggae Sounds After Dark will spin reggae classics from the past and present.
Larry Sewer, CEO of Jewel of the Isle and a delegate to the 5th Constitutional Convention, and Stedman Hodge Jr., also a delegate, will give speeches. There will be a drumming presentation by Echo People, poetry and cultural activities; vegan food and drinks, and arts & crafts will be on sale.
