Women's Coalition to Hold Benefit Concert and Auction

Nov. 22, 2007 – The Women's Coalition of St. Croix presents Broadway on St. Croix, a concert to benefit its children's Christmas gift program. The event will be held at 5:30, Saturday, Nov. 24, at The Reef Pool Pavilion and will star Carole Demas.
Demas originated the lead role of Sandy in Broadway's hit musical "Grease" and played the role of Luisa in off-Broadway success "The Fantasticks." She has starred in numerous TV shows, David Merrick's "The Baker's Wife" in Los Angeles and co-starred in the children's television show, "The Magic Garden."
Her musical director has come to St. Croix to accompany her. Ian's credits include "Jelly's Last Jam," The Who's Tommy," "Grease" and "Swing," for which he wrote vocal and dance arrangements. He recently conducted the Broadway show "Laughing Room Only" with Jackie Mason and was also the musical director for "Dorian Gray" at the New York Musical Theater Festival.
There will be a Silent Auction prior to the concert and complimentary cocktails and hors d'oeuvres afterwards with a chance to meet Carole Demas. The suggested tax-deductible contribution is $100/person. Checks should be made out to The Women's Coalition of St. Croix.
Call 773-1502 or e-mail bookcook@msn.com with questions or for reservations for remaining seats. There will be an after theater cafe dinner at Duggan's Reef Restaurant, reservations to be made separately at 773-9800.
