Nov. 11, 2007 — An as-yet unidentified 29-year-old man was gunned down Saturday night on Kronprindsens Gade, just west of the Chicken Fry.
His body was found in a stairway, St. Thomas-St. John Police Chief Rodney Querrard said Sunday night. Police were called to the scene at 7 p.m. after reports of gunshots in the area, he said.
The victim had been shot multiple times.
Police interviewed several witnesses and an intense investigation into the homicide is under way, a release from the V.I. Police Department Sunday night said.
Querrad said the victim's name was being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
