Tea Party for Mr. and Miss St. Croix Contestants

Oct. 31, 2007 – The seven Miss St. Croix contestants and the four Mr. St. Croix contenders will be presented to the public at a tea party at 3 p.m., on Sunday, Nov. 4, at Teddy's, in the Sion Farm Shopping Center. Admission is $10 per person.
"The tea party has always been an elegant affair," said Pageant Chairwoman Merlissa George. "Young men and women were groomed for many years in proper etiquette techniques. The tea parties were also an opportunity for speakers to present on various topics."
The speakers will include: Winona Hendricks, Brad Nugent, Theodora Phillip, Annamaria Heyliger, Nissa Bailey and First Lady Cecile de Jongh.

Shakyma Mercado; age 17, Senior, St. Croix Educational Complex/Height: 5'4"–Weight: 130 lbs
Vania Lynn Maysonet; age 18, Freshman, University of the Virgin Islands/Height: 4'10"–Weight 90 lbs
Sharifa Yazmin Walters; age 17, Senior, St. Croix Educational Complex, Night School/Height: 5'1" Weight: 110 lbs
