What's Up Next on the Doug Lewis Show

Oct. 9, 2007 – Tune into the Doug Lewis Show on WVGN 107.3 FM from 1 to 3 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 14. This Sunday we will feature music by Deborah Coleman, Wendy Colonna, Rilo Kiley, Leonard Bernstein, Nicky Russell, Asleep at the Wheel and more.
The Modern Music Feature CD is "Stop the Game" by blues artist Deborah Coleman. Deborah has played in the Virgin Islands in past years, and she is one of the leading female guitarists in the blues field. Her new CD features her outstanding guitar artistry as well as fine vocals.
The Indie Spotlight CD is "Old, New, Borrowed, and Blue" from Austin singer and songwriter Wendy Colonna. Wendy has a powerful voice, and it is hard to categorize her into one style of music. This is a live two-CD set recorded live at Antones in Austin and also includes a live DVD recorded at Antones.
We play new music from the Chris Duarte Group, John Fogerty, Jim Lauderdale, Eric Bibb, Rilo Kiley and more.
We include music from Asleep at the Wheel, Flatt and Scruggs, the Beatles, Eric Anderson and more.
We celebrate the birthdays of Justin Hayward of the Moody Blues, one-hit artist Robert Parker, and blues artist Kenny Neal. We remember Freddy Fender and Leonard Bernstein on the anniversary of their deaths.
We also include music from Nicky Russell, who will be performing at October Sunday on St. Thomas, on Oct. 21, at Magens Bay Beach. We also play music from John Gorka, who is scheduled to play at Tillett Gardens during the 2008-2009 season.

We give away a copy of a blues CD by Stringbean and the Stalkers and a new CD release from Rod Piazza and the Mighty Flyers.
Doug Lewis Show is underwritten by Hook, Line and Sinker; Molly Molones; and St. Thomas Radiology Associates.
