Sept. 17, 2007 – The Annual Rotary Club Sunrise Golf Scramble to benefit the Ron Magnuson Golf Scholarship was held on Sunday, Sept. 16, at Mahogany Run Golf Course. This successful event had over 220 participants that showed up to support the scholarship program that provides recipients a scholarship to the University of the Virgin Islands.
Sam Topp, the master of ceremonies at Mahogany Run, gave the first place award to the winning team from Trinchero Family Estates Winery and Bellows International. This team consisted of Richard Berry, Bertrand Overbeek, Chris Jones and John Powers.
Rotary Club Sunrise meets at 7:15 a.m., every Tuesday at the Holiday Inn Windward Passage Hotel, St. Thomas.
