VITEMA Offices Will Close for One Day

July 25, 2007 – The Virgin Islands Territorial Emergency Management Agency offices throughout the territory will be closed on Thursday, July 26, to allow staff to attend funeral services for Ronald Martin, communications officer, according to a press release from VITEMA. Martin, a licensed ham radio operator, served the territory through 17 hurricane seasons.
The office closure will not affect agency response, as VITEMA personnel will be available to respond to telephone calls. The offices will resume normal business hours on Friday, July 27.
